Syndrome de instestino irritable

What a week it was! I got sick haha and so I went to a little clinic to find out what the problem was and they told me it was just irritable intestine syndrome haha! They gave me some medicine and now all is well. The whole week I was wondering how I had gotten so much fatter so fast, but it was only the swollen intestine haha =)

So last Monday we had that Leadership Council and it was so good! They always are and what we learned reminded me of what mom had told me last week. We just have to love the people. It is key to it all.

This week we went to teach our little investigator Fernanda, the little 10 year old. She is so smart. And is so ready to get baptized! =) The bummer was that her family (who are all members) didn’t take her to church yesterday. So we are going to go find out what happened there. Carol another investigator we have told us that she is moving home to live with her mom, so we wont be teaching her anymore. We were pretty sad about that, but I know the missionaries will find her there! =)

It was an interesting week because I didn’t feel so great but we still worked hard and Hermana Stevens had a lot of patience with me! She is so great.

We have decided that it doesn’t matter how the day is going, whether it be really hot, rainy, long, cold, tough, or even the best day, together we can make the best out of what comes our way. We laugh off the things that are tough and move forward. That’s the best way to do it!

We have high hopes for this week! Its going to be a real good one =) We are going to be teaching at a zone training this Wednesday! =) We will see how that goes!

Have a great week!!

Love you all to the moon and back!

We are Golden!

Mexico City South Mission

So funny story for the week. We went to go teach a less active, whose name is Otilio Aquino. We asked him how our Spanish is and he told us that we speak Spanish 70% correct. Then he goes on to say that they, as Mexicans speak it 90% correct and that the Spaniards speak it 99.7% correct. So taking into consideration that no one speaks it 100% correct, I take it as a huge complement that we speak it 70% correct! =)

This week we worked hard and had fun like usual! We were able to visit the Ochoa family and that went well. We will continue pushing real hard with them to help them feel the Spirit. Eva and Edgar came to church yesterday, but the dad said that he wanted to study a little more before going. I know that if we continuing helping them to understand and feel the Spirit, they will have desires to keep learning and going to church.

Its been so fun to be a missionary and to just open your mouth and invite all to hear the great message. We had companionship exchanges on Friday and Saturday with hna Treminio and hna Koyla (the sister from Kuna) This time I went with Hna Koyle and it was so great! We really focused on the fact that right now it is so easy to just talk to everyone in the streets and that’s something we are really trying to improve.

All in all this week was an excellent one! =) The weather has been so weird. It’s stopped raining, but it still get super cold and then the next day really hot. My body is having a hard time to keep up with it. Any that’s the news over here! =)
Hope you all have a great week!
Love you to the moon and back!

Drop by Drop

October 27, 2014

Well Family! The suspense is over. Last night Elder James called to tell us the transfers…..we don’t have any!!! =) We are staying together another 6 weeks together! YAY!!! =)

So this week was a really great one! A few great things happened! We found a family to teach!!! =) The Ochoa Family! Eva and Alfonso are the parents and Edgar and Suleyma are the kids…but they are older 20 and 18 years old. They are amazing! We actually first met Eva because we visit a member a lot named Carmen, who has a little store and every time we are with Carmen, Eva walks by. One day we decided to talk to her and then, Carmen came and introduced us too. It was great =) Carmen is like a little missionary too! I just love her. Now she is all excited and tells just about everyone about us! haha But anyway we made an appointment with Eva to meet with her and her family and we went on Saturday! They are amazing. The spirit was so strong. At the end of the lesson Edgar offered the prayer and it really was one of the first times for him to do it how we pray. He thanked our Heavenly Father for putting us in their lives when they most needed it most. Oh man. it was just a great prayer! Better than mine! We are so excited to be working with them. But the cool thing is that during the lesson we really were ourselves. Just laughing with them and having fun..but letting the Spirit guide and that is sure what it did. =)

We have really learned that it is little by little or drop by drop like Sister Linda Burton said in the woman’s conference. We really just have to do the little things right everyday and be consistent and we WILL see the blessings and miracles. They really do come. I love my Heavenly Father and My Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart. I know that it is only through the Atonement of our Redeemer that we can make it back home again. I know that we can use the Atonement to better ourselves in each day. I just want to quote Shon right now and say “do your best and your best gets better” the Savior helps us get better. I KNOW IT! =)
I love you all so much!
Be happy this week! Smile lots!
