The Sun is Shining…well sort of

August 25, 2014

This week was a good one. We had to give another zone training on Friday, and it went really well. Hermana Treminio was there and she wrote me a little note. She is so great. In this note she reminded meof some really important things and it really turned my entire attitude around. This last transfer and a half has been so hard but I don’t know what happened…when I read that card. Something changed inside.

I feel really good. We had a tough week though…none of our investigators were at church yesterday. We passed by the house of one of them..who had a baptismal date…her name is Fany. She is going to have a baby in about 2 weeks. She is 19 years old and not married 😦 but she really has this desire to change things around. Her mom is a member of 1 year and her dad too…but he passed away really soon after he got baptized…like 4 months. Its a sad story, but she really has this desire to make good choices. We will be working really hard with her. She wants to be baptized on her dads birthday, Oct. 22nd. Her brother as well is thinking about getting baptized. His name is Josue. He doesn’t have as much as a desire. We asked him to pray about it so he can be sure it is something he should do in his life. They are a really great family.

Yesterday we found another family. We have been teaching a 20 year old named Marco Antonio and he told us about his little brother Ricardo. We went to go find them and their mom came out. We talked with her for a little bit and asked if we could share a message with her right then. ¨She said YES!¨ (just like in the movie the RM haha) And then during the beginning of the lesson Ricardo walked in and we were able to teach him too. They gave us the reference for the dad of the family and so Saturday we have an appointment with the entire family!! We are very excited!!!!! 🙂

I love you so much Family! What a blessing it is that we have this gospel to guide us. Keep living it! Have a great week in work and more work.
LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Another Week

August 18, 2014

Well another week has come and gone. They seem to go by so fast.

As for Patricia and Clismer..they are progressing so much. They are amazing. But still the odds aren’t in their favor. Patricias husband wants to go married in February… erg. And Clismer, he is still trying to work on everything with his visa. Its slow going, but they are very constant and sure people. They have such strong desires to be baptized. They go to church EVERY WEEK. They are more faithful than some of the members. Such great examples to all.

I pray for them in everyday so that these miracles can happen in their lives.

My companion sister Santana is also a sister training leader. This past week we had the opportunity to give a training in our zone training meeting and it went really well. It was interesting because it was the first time the sister training leaders have ever participated in the teaching part of any meeting. These have been great opportunities that are helping to learn alot.

I love you guys so much! I thank you for your prayers.

You guys are the BEST =)

love you forever,

Surprise

August 11th, 2014

Last Tuesday Morning we received a phone call from the zone leaders. They were calling to let us know that the elders that are going to be in Taxqueña 2 will be living with them until they find another house in our area. We were very surprised because we didnt even know they were opening up Taxquenña 2. Its been an adventure. This week was good. We are really happy to have more missionaries here in the area with us. It will help the ward out alot. I know we are going to be seeing miracles.

I love the pictures from the Lodge!! How fun it must have been! =) Those bubbles were awesome! haha

That is so neat that Tiffany is a sister training leader as well!! =) Its been a neat experience being able to go on companionship exchanges with the other sisters. The president always tells us that we dont go to supervise the sisters and what they are doing, but we go to teach and be an example for them. I have really learned so much from these sisters. They are amazing.

So thats about all I have to say for this week. Not too much happened besides the new Elders in our area.

We have a Zone training this Wednesday and for the first time ever, they have asked the sister training leaders to participate. So it will be intersting to see how it goes haah We have to do a training on how to recieve referrals from the members for people who LIVE in our AREAS.

I pray all goes well haha =)

I love you all so much!! Have a great week!!

Great Investigators

August 4, 2014

WOW!!! It is absolutely crazy that we are in August already! Where is the time going? This week we saw some miracles. It was so great! Its been super tough here in this area, but the Lord was hearing my prayers the whole time…just waiting for the right moment.

We found out that one of our investigators Patricia is going to get married to her husband… They live in free union??? uhh I don’t know how to say it in English…but anyways living together but not married. Sunday she told us the news!!! Its perfect because she is so ready to be baptized…it was only this part!! YAY! Maybe hna Santana and I get to go to a wedding here soon!! We still don’t know when but its official =)

Then with another investigator… Clismar, he is illegal here in Mexico… he is from Honduras. He wants to be baptized SO BAD! He is golden. Does everything. He is like a member already. He has been trying to apply for a passport so that he can start his paper to be legal here in Mexico. Thursday he told us that he got his Passport and with that he can start the process for his paper and everything!!!!!!!! Yesterday we also found 2 new investigators…but they were a referral from Clismar…it is his cousin and wife. They are amazing people really looking for something to bring the peace and union in their marriage! They accepted baptismal dates for September 13.

Another new investigator we found this week was also a referral from a member…her boyfriend. He is awesome! He is 19 years old and wants to really change his life. He also accepted a baptism date for August 30th!!! He went to church Sunday! =) Things are looking up and I know it is all because of the Lord and his great love for his Children.

The pictures are so great! Those cute kids make my day! They are all so big! I can’t wait to see pictures from the reunion this week!! =) Have so much fun!!
I love you FOREVER!

Faith

July 28, 2014

Today I was thinking about what faith is. To me, I believe that faith is a belief in something, or a hope in something that we can’t see but KNOW has to be there.

As a mission, we are trying to increase our faith. Because we can work and work and work, but if we don’t got the faith, what are we doing? There is a scripture in Doctrine and Covenants that talks about faith and that we cannot do anything without it. So we should ask the Lord with all our faith to help us. I love this scripture. It’s so true and so great! That is something that I have been trying to work on. Strengthening my faith.

Our numbers were pretty low this week. We couldn’t find new investigators to teach. That was the first time that that has happened for me in the mission. It was tough. I cried…but that’s okay! We have to have experiences like these to get better. My district leader is really great. He was talking to us yesterday when we reported and reminded me that we need to trust in the Lord. That the Lord is so great and will help us when our desires our righteous. And that we have to do the things in His way.

All of that is so true =) So that is what I will be working on this week!
Yes here in Mexico it has been rainy! It rain a lot. I love it! =) … Sometimes, when I don’t forget my umbrella haha . But actually during the day it is hot…then at night or in the evening it pours buckets of rain.

So that’s the news from Mexico! I am glad to hear that all is well in North Dakota! The girls are so cute and growing so big!!!
Have a fun trip and be safe in your travels! =)
Love you forever!
