We had a curve ball thrown at us last night. 6 weeks has come and gone yet again. The Elders called us last night to inform us of the transfers. We thought we would be in the clear…but nope. Hermana Garcia will be staying here and another sister is coming to work with her. It is sad! Hermana Garcia and I really got along well and had a lot of fun.

And for me… well I am going to an area called Taxqueña. It is really close to the area where we are now. I will be a Sister Training Leader. I know that great opportunities are ahead and I am excited to face the new adventures and challenges that will come.

When Hermana Garcia found out that I was leaving, she was so sad and just kept say, `no es justo`. Its sad that we weren’t able to be companions for longer time, but we learned a lot from one another and had a lot of cool experiences together.

This week we went to meet with Angeles and her family, but her mom didn´t have time. It was a bummer, but we taught Angeles a little message from the story of David and Goliath.

In this past week one of our investigators Javier Hernandez accepted a baptismal date! He is my favorite!! He has gone through so much in his life. Drug and alcohol addictions and has come a long way. He is ready to accept the gospel and we have seen so much progress in his life! I will really miss him. I hope that all works out so that July 19th he can make this covenant with the Lord!

I love the Lord and our Savior so much. I know they love us too. I know God hears our prayers and has such a desire to bless us and help us. This gospel and the teachings of it are the greatest and if we apply them to our lives, we will avoid many pit falls.

I love you my family and friends so much! Thank you for your prayers and support!

Until next Monday!

Sad news I lost my pictures… So no pictures this week.

Hey What’s Your Name?

First off, I hope that Dad had a great fathers day yesterday!! =)

This week was a long one. But it was still so good! All the people we had with baptismal dates no longer have baptismal dates. haha But that’s okay. Its all part of the process.

The Langarica Hernandez family isn’t quite sure what they are going to do because we taught them the law of chastity and told her she needed to marry her husband or not live with him if she wanted to be baptized. That’s a block in the road for her because she doesn’t want to marry him and he doesn’t either… but they are content living together… I just don’t understand sometimes.

We are praying for Alejandra and her kids that they can trust in the Lord and make the right decision for their lives.

Being here and meeting these people has really made me feel so incredibly blessed for the life I have. I have been so blessed to not have to pass through the kinds of trails and challenges that so many of the people have here.

I am really learning a lot and I know that God loves these people so so so much and has such a desire to help them, but he is waiting for them to ask.

When Alma and his people were being persecuted by Amulon and where passing through many problems because of what Amulon was trying to do to them, it says in Mosiah 24:12 that Alma and his people poured out their hearts to God and he understood the thoughts of their hearts. Alma and these people had to act first before Heavenly Father was going to come to their aid. After that it says to God told them that he would relieve their burdens and they could know that God does visit his children in afflictions. I love that story.

I hope that each and everyone of you remember this story and that our Heavenly Father love you so much. He will help you but you have to ask him first!

Have a great week =)

until the next one

A little girl we are teaching. Her name is Angeles. She found us one days in the park. She randomly yelled over to me: HEY WHATS YOUR NAME. And that’s how we met little Angeles haha She loves singing the hymns. We met her mom the other day and have an appointment with her this Thursday!

We had a conference with /elder Daniel Johnson of the 70. His wife is so cute! She is from Sugar City, Idaho.

No Water But Still Happy

So let me give you the run down of our week. We found out that our water heater didn’t work and then right after, we tried turning on the water and we had none. Haha… so I guess it didn’t matter. I couldn’t go to bed with a dirty face so we stuck a bucket outside and collected rain water and heated it up and I could go to bed with a clean face. It was great… well sort of. I burned my face and hand because the water was too hot! And so it has been like that every day of the week. WE have water now but hardly any pressure. We take showers with buckets of water haha. I love all these experiences. They are fantastic =)

My companion is so funny! We had to report to the elders about our day and she straight up tells him that it was a bad day because we had no water, our water heater didn’t work and we were soaking wet. (Its been raining A LOT every night the past week) hahaha. Anyways. It was a crazy and fun week!

We had a family night with the Langarica Hernandez family in the home of some members and it was excellent! Its really amazing to see the ward members here really open up and have this desire to help these people. We really had a lot of fun with them. I love this family of investigators… and the member family… but the Langarica Family is great! They have 3 kids, Alexa, Evan, and Stefanie. They are so much fun. They really have a desire to learn more about the gospel and are willing to make these changes in their lives for the better. It is amazing what the spirit can teach these people. That’s the best way to teach… with the spirit. The people aren’t going to listen to us, but they will the spirit. It will talk to them from the inside… in their heart where we cannot reach.

I love you all so much and am happy to know that you are all well!!

Until next week!

New Appartment

June 2, 2014

Wow!! It was a really great week! Let me just start off by saying that we had 6 investigators at church! =) A new record for me haha Eduardo Rojo is progressing a lot and has his baptismal date for 14 of June. Hope all goes well with that. We had ALejandra Hernandez and her daughters Alexa and Stefanie with her at church as well. Then Javier Hernandez and Ramon and Mari Paz Hernandez. Full of Hernandez! =) It was one of the greatest testimony meetings I have ever been in. The spirit was so strong!

We also had visited a less active family(Family Jimenez) and arranged for a member to go get then Sunday morning. Heavenly Father really heard everyone’s prayers because they were there. The mom Natalia, her two daughters Carolina and Angeles and their kids. They are an awesome family!! I am so happy that they have decided to come back to church and use the atonement in their lives!

We were able to move houses this morning and that is why we were a little late to writing today. Our new house is so little but so cute!!

I don’t even remember all the great things that happened this last week! I love being a missionary! Heavenly Father really helps us out so much! I hope that everyone of you can remember this Love that God has for you. Remember that when we have trials or struggles or whatever they may be…it isn’t because God has forgotten you, but it is because he is VERY aware of you and knows that these things can help you in the long run! It’s hard to grasp this concept but if you can, it will make things so much easier!

I love you all so much! From the tips of my toes to the top of my head! Thank you so much for being the special people you are!

love you forever

Hermana Stef
